An early clarinet choir in the United States was established in 1927 by Simeon Bellison, then first clarinettist in the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. The Ionian Clarinet Choir (Est 1970) in Barnet North London is believed to be the longest running clarinet choir in Europe.
To boost a lack of repertoire, Neville John’s Rondo is an arrangement of a Rondo for Woodwind Ensemble which he wrote about 20 years earlier.
